Summary

We are looking for a responsible and vivacious Teacher?s Aide to join the team at our Nationally Accredited Child Care Center. As a Teacher?s Aide, you will work with students and perform additional tasks to support teachers in providing a comprehensive educational program in either our infant/toddler program, preschool program or our before and after school age program. Our ideal candidate is industrious, cooperative and knowledgeable about educational best practices and child development. The Center is open from 6:30-5:30. varying shifts available. Some coursework in Early Childhood preferred; at least 2 years' experience working in an early childhood setting preferred. This position would be working as a one on one with children who need additional care in the classroom setting.

Duties

Regular and punctual attendance; coordinating with teacher in planning, executing and evaluating activities; providing special attention to children who require such; assisting in routine activities such as naps, meals, bathroom, dressing and trips; distributing teaching materials and equipment; assuming responsibility for group and program in absence of the teacher; cooperating with teacher in developing and maintaining relationships with parents; performs related work as required.

Requirements

Some knowledge in the teaching and training of children; ability to maintain simple records; ability to maintain orderly conduct; ability to communicate with children. 

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field, or Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate, and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a responsible day care position. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
