Job Description

 

Our client a technology company in Downtown, Dallas, TX  is seeking a Health & Safety-focused Project Manager to support the organization’s efforts in enhancing workplace safety and aligning current programs with global standards. This role will be based on-site in downtown Dallas and will play a key role in reviewing safety protocols, guiding hazard assessments, and driving safety culture across multiple business units.

 

Responsibilities:

• Policy & Standards Development: Revise and update current Health & Safety (H&S) policies to meet global standards.
• Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Support: Review existing JHAs; provide guidance to business units on development and improvement.
• Incident & Risk Management: Analyze near-miss reports, manage corrective actions, and support injury/illness investigations.
• Training & Communication: Collaborate with the training team to develop safety training content and scripts. Review and improve existing safety training programs.
• Safety Communications: Create one-page “tailgate” guides and quarterly “Safety in a Box” resources for business units.
• Hazard Identification & Evaluation: Identify and assess hazardous conditions, especially in construction settings. Implement and evaluate fall protection measures.
• Hazard Control: Develop and advise on hazard control procedures and methods.
• Program Effectiveness: Monitor, measure, and report on the success of safety control measures. Ensure ongoing compliance with local, federal, and company regulations.
• Documentation & Auditing: Maintain accurate records of safety activities and outcomes. Conduct audits of pre-task plans and manage the closure of corrective action plans.
• Training & Engagement: Deliver site-specific safety training and facilitate monthly safety committee meetings.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in developing and managing health & safety programs
• Experience writing safety standards and policies
• Proficiency in guiding teams on Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
• Skilled in near-miss analysis, corrective action tracking, and safety data management
• Effective in conducting investigations related to injuries and illnesses
