Key Responsibilities: + Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP& A) process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. + Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and reconciliations. + Provide financial leadership to cross-functional teams, offering guidance for strategic decision-making by analyzing key metrics and trends. + Manage and develop internal financial controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies. + Collaborate with R& D, manufacturing, and executive teams to allocate resources efficiently for biotech initiatives and projects. + Prepare financial presentations and executive summaries for senior management and stakeholders. + Spearhead continuous improvement efforts in financial systems, workflows, and reporting mechanisms to enhance efficiency. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CPA highly desirable). + 5+ years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a managerial role. + Experience in biotech, healthcare, or manufacturing industries preferred. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle). + Advanced skills in Excel (e.g., financial modeling, pivot tables) and strong analytical abilities. + Exceptional communication and leadership skills with proven success in managing teams and collaborating cross-functionally. Preferred Skills: + Understanding of cost accounting principles related to biotech R& D and production. + Experience with grant funding and compliance, as well as accounting for intellectual property and clinical trial costs.
