Description We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a contract basis for a short-term assignment in San Diego, California. This role is ideal for someone with advanced financial expertise and technical skills, who can immediately contribute to optimizing processes, developing KPIs, and delivering actionable insights. The position will focus on data analytics, dashboard creation, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making during this critical interim period. Responsibilities: - Analyze financial statements and operational data to design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure organizational performance. - Develop visually compelling dashboards for weekly financial reporting, tailored to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders. - Extract, integrate, and analyze financial data from multiple systems using advanced tools and methodologies. - Build and refine complex financial models to forecast business performance, evaluate scenarios, and support leadership decision-making. - Implement solutions that streamline data integration across platforms to ensure accuracy and efficiency in reporting. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address inefficiencies in financial processes, proposing and executing improvements. - Provide detailed weekly and ad-hoc financial reports to senior leadership, ensuring clarity and actionable recommendations. - Utilize advanced tools such as SQL, Excel VBA, and data visualization software to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities. - Support short-term project initiatives with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines. Requirements - Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with a strong focus on data analytics and reporting. - Expertise in creating KPIs and translating financial data into actionable business insights. - Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel (including formulas and VBA), and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. - Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis. - Experience with data extraction, integration, and management across multiple systems. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations. - Proven success in managing interim assignments or short-term projects with tight deadlines. - Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial insights to non-technical stakeholders.
