Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and people-focused Community Outreach Assistant (Entry Level) to support event-based outreach activities for nonprofit organizations. In this role, you’ll help coordinate and attend in-person events that build awareness, foster relationships, and engage local communities around meaningful causes.
This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about public service, event coordination, and making a direct, real-world impact through community engagement.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in organizing and executing in-person outreach events, workshops, and community programs
• Represent nonprofit clients at public events and awareness campaigns
• Act as a liaison between nonprofit teams and community partners or stakeholders
• Help prepare event materials, displays, sign-in sheets, and promotional items
• Greet attendees, answer questions, and help facilitate event participation
• Gather attendee feedback and report on outreach outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of contacts, attendance, and community engagement activities
• Support follow-up communications and relationship-building with community members
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred but not required
• Passion for community engagement and nonprofit missions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in dynamic, in-person environments
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events
